App review: Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard

Today I played with an app called Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six®: Shadow Vanguard. Basically you’re the leader of a counter-terrorist unit, stopping an organization called the “Phoenix Group”. Which is led by a lunatic called Brightling, that wants to KILL off the rest of humanity so that he can save mother nature. Crazy right?

It’s a really cool game. Great graphics, good controls, and overall interesting story. It’s cool that you’re able to execute orders to your teammates like tear gas the room or, dispatch that terrorist. You even got a helicopter to see around a wall or through doors! Although the game did have it’s problems. Whenever I tried to reload or switch weapons, I kept accidentally throwing grenades which kill me and my teammates (Wow, I’m a great leader). Another thing is that sometimes my partners are complete idiots. On a stealth mission they walk right past me and start shooting everyone, yet not killing anyone and end up dying. FAIL.

Besides those few challenges it’s a pretty good game and definitely worth the money. Just don’t expect other people to be on multiplayer. As awesome as it is it’s a pretty old game so not many people play it anymore. 🙁

It costs $6.99 in the app store, but you should buy it. I mean I’m not getting paid to do this or anything, but It’s a good game. I’ll rate it 4/5 stars. Here’s a link to the app.
